Kakadu in crisis: Traditional owners threaten to close Australia’s biggest national park
Kakadu National Park is a bucket-list destination for both Australian and international tourists.
Within it, you’ll find crocodiles, brolgas and breathtaking vistas.
But the World Heritage listed site is falling into disrepair amid accusations of mismanagement and neglect.
The park is managed by both traditional owners and the Federal Government agency, Parks Australia.
Traditional owners say a number of issues have left the joint management in dire shape and they’re calling on the Federal Government to join with them and find a solution.
